All over at the End of Time is the l lth recording by the Caretaker, an alias of English digital musician Leyland Kirby. Released from 2016 to 2019, its six workshop albums show the progression of Alzheimer s condition by weakening loopholes of ballroom songs. Inspired by the success of A Vacant Happiness Beyond This Globe (2011 ), Kirby taped All over as his final job under the pen names. He generated the albums in Krakow over six-month periods to provide a feeling of time passing , using abstract paintings by his good friend Ivan Seal. The series attracted contrasts to composer William Basinski and electronic artist Funeral, with the later phases being affected by avant-gardist John Cage.
