Battlefield 2042 landet in Steam-Top
A few days after the Battlefield 2042 release, it continues what was already in the early access and after the first reviews. The game does not always get away with the press and community and even led to a placement in Steams Hall of Shame, on which EA would certainly waive.
Battlefield 2042 gets space in Steams Hall of Shame
Bugs, server problems and many false decisions in Gameplay — whether metacritic, on reddit or in the steam reviews, the community manifested on these platforms massive criticism of Battlefield 2042. On Steam, EAS is continued the popular shooter Series now on place 10 of the worst rated games arrived. (Source: Steam 250).
More than 46,000 reviews on Steam are just, just under 27 percent positive. So it is hardly necessary to mention that Publisher EA would rather emerge in other top lists.
Never play more Battlefield 2042?
The only reasonably reliable source of player numbers outside direct publications from Publishers are the Steam Charts. There Battlefield 2042 started very well on November 21st and was among the most played playing in 9, i.e. one of the good top-10 lists. (Source: Steam DB). The numbers fell as expected at the start of the week, as fewer players and players are active during the week than on weekends.
The observation of the Steam Charts over several weeks could provide a maximum of an indication of falling numbers. Even on the PC, many fans play over EAS's own Launcher Origin and the numbers of the consoles are also unknown.
Is that review bombing now?
The weaknesses of Battlefield 2042 are discussed almost exactly as much as the question of how representative Steam reviews are at all. How it is already noted, make only part of the PC community. Especially with popular ranks, there is always a loud minority, which has to let out as many platforms to let out your frustration over a game, which has not become exactly as it has imagined.
Also in our test Battlefield 2042 could only convince in parts:

But there are also a lot of unity of the things that Battlefield 2042 is incorrect from the point of view of the community and not least the very objectively lockable bugs and performance problems. This results in total from the many Reddit posts, the Steam reviews and other feedback platforms a rather negative image of Battlefield 2042. Nevertheless, this picture is distorted by maximum bad ratings. The whole ratings are still not representative of the whole community, but the pure mass of criticism is not that they are entitled to the core?
Battlefield 2042 appeared after a week Early Access on November 21, 2021, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.
