Battlefield 2042: Remote weather effects could reappear as DLC in the future

Currently, the developer team of Battlefield 2042 has full of doing all hands to remove the bugs from the game. The recently published Update 3.1 Combined numerous game errors and changed the balancing of the multiplayer shooter. So until new content could come, so it should take a while.

But Battlefield 2042 insider Tom Henderson now revealed a content that could come in the future. This is a feature that has made it only partially into the game and therefore different from the player's shock was recorded differently.

Before the release of Battlefield 2042, the responsible persons with the dynamic weather effects were. Of these, however, only the Tornados have managed into the game, which are beautifully blurred in certain periods of time over the Map and players.

Originally, more weather effects were planned: Volcanic eruptions, floods and other catastrophes should also create the game, but were deleted in summer 2020. So the developer team was fully concentrated on the Tornados:

Could there be a return? Henderson wants to learn that the painted content could return to new DLC content. Presumably, the team needed more time to give the weather effects the last fine grinding.

But Dice and EA have not queried themselves to these rumors, and it could be that these plans are rejected again. Whether it will create the contents at all after Battlefield 2042, the time will show.

Other features are painfully missing

Another feature that did not make it to Battlefield 2042 are the extended destruction effects. According to Henderson, the team wanted to raise these effects on a completely new level, but the hardware restrictions have made the plans a dash by the bill.

In his Game pro Column, our editor Tobias explains why this missing feature scatters salt into the wound. But as with the painted weather effects, it could be that DICE still plans to bring the destruction effects into play in some form.
