How to use Runic attacks in God of War

God of War brings great changes to the series, transporting Rates from Ancient Greece to the cold confines of Nordic mythology. Rates can also exercise a series of new attacks and powers, thanks to the introduction of Leviathan Ax. With this new weapon, Rates has new use skills, including Runic attacks.

To use Rune attacks on God of War, all you have to do during battle is to hold the L1 button and then press R1 on PlayStation, or keep q and click left for a light attack, or R2 / Right click For a heavy attack. Runic attacks work almost like magic in the previous Games of God of War and can have a variety of effects. For example, the Wrath of the Frost Ancient Runic attack triggers a powerful ice ray that can slow down enemies, but it does not cause much damage.

Of course, be sure to equip a runes attack before using it, which can be done by simply going to the weapons menu and selecting one for light weapons and another for heavy. It is a good idea to try different runes attacks and see what works best for you.
